New Candela equipment for WiFi traffic measurement

Candela LanForge WiFire

October 12, 2017 - Instrumentation equipment manufacturer Candela Technologies announces the availability of two new portable WiFis network quality measurement devices, the CT523b and CT522.

These devices have multiple gigabit ports and AC WiFi radios based on Qualcomm chipsets. With them, it is possible to simulate complex traffic scenarios and verify the performance of the latest generations of access points on the market, both in the lab and in the field.

The CT522 has two WiFi boards. One is based on the ath9k chip and the other on the ath10k chip. Each radio can be configured independently of the other, and up to 64 virtual stations can be generated for each one. These virtual stations can have different behaviours and protocols depending on the specific needs to be verified.

The CT522 also has 7 gigabit ports for traffic generation.

The CT523b has 4 WiFi boards, two using the ath9k chip and two using the ath10k chip. Each radio can be configured independently of the other, and up to 64 virtual stations can be generated for each one. These virtual stations can have different behaviours and protocols depending on the specific needs to be verified.

The CT523b also has 2 gigabit ports for traffic generation.
